NETA’s Timothy Eernisse Promoted

New Role as Vice President of Education & Growth; Chief Operating Officer

On July 1, 2024, Timothy Eernisse will be promoted to NETA’s vice president of education and growth, chief operating officer. In this elevated role, he will lead, manage, and supervise NETA’s educational, professional development, and association growth initiatives, while working with NETA leadership to set and drive organizational vision and operations strategy. 

Eernisse’s promotion is one of several recently announced as part of NETA’s reorganization to align with their strategic vision. Eernisse will oversee daily operations and lead a team of high-performing professionals who provide internal and external expertise in information and cybersecurity, operations, DEIB, and professional growth. He will be tasked with translating strategy into actionable steps for growth, organization-wide goals, performance management, and annual operations planning.

Eernisse has been NETA’s vice president, education since he joined the organization in 2018. Prior to his time with NETA, he spent more than 12 years at WGVU Public Media in Grand Rapids, MI. Eernisse is a Public Media Diversity Fellow and a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
