About Darley Newman Widely recognized for her ability to bring out the best in her on-camera guests, TV host, producer, author, and entrepreneur Darley Newman travels the globe to provide viewers with authentic, culturally enticing experiences that they can recreate on their own. She is the creator of Emmy-Award winning TV and digital series through her production company DCN Creative, including Equitrekking, which broadcasts on Public Television and networks in over 85 countries, and Travels with Darley, which launched on Public Television in early 2016. Darley has been honored with five Daytime Emmy Award nominations for hosting, writing and producing, alongside media moguls Ellen DeGeneres, Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert. She received the North American Travel Journalist Award two years in a row for Best Travel Broadcast and the Merit Award for Best Travel Book. She received the Inspiring Woman Award from Women in Philanthropy and Leadership and has been profiled in leading media including USA Today, Chicago Tribune, Washington Post, Martha Stewart Radio, NPR, the book How’d You Score that Gig, a Guide to the Coolest Jobs, and appeared as a travel expert on The Today Show with Kathie Lee and Hoda on NBC and The Weather Channel with Sam Champion. An award-winning travel book author, she created and starred in original digital series for Scripps Networks Interactive and a series of historical travel interstitials for the Starz Networks Encore Channels. Her Travels with Darley also appears as digital shorts through AOL, MSN, Huffington Post and over 2000 partner sites. A travel expert and expert on all things equestrian, this entrepreneur extended the Equitrekking brand by creating online resources for travelers interested in horseback riding vacations and adventure travel including Equitrekking.com, EquitrekkingTravel.com and Top20Ranches.com. She recently launched a companion site for Travels with Darley at TravelswithDarley.com, where short videos, travel tips, recipes and trip itineraries shared by Darley and locals featured on the series allow viewers to take a deeper dive and plan their own travel adventure. She is the founder of the Emmy-winning production company, DCN Creative, and has worked at 48 Hours, CBS and hosted segments on Ralph Lauren TV, Starz Networks Encore Channels and covered the White House for The Talk Radio News Service. Darley received her B.A. in Electronic Media and International Business and Cultures from The George Washington University.
