About Darley Newman Darley Newman has traveled the world since 2007 for her TV series, Equitrekking, which has been honored with three Daytime Emmy Awards, eight nominations, completed 35 episodes and broadcasts on PBS and on networks in over 84 other nations. This fall, she and her Emmy-winning team from DCN Creative debut Travels with Darley, kicking off with eight episodes filmed in the Caribbean, Europe and USA. Travels with Darley has already seen great success online, where the series is seen as digital shorts as a featured partner of the AOL On Network and MSN Travel and distributed to over 2,000 partners including Huffington Post, Budget Travel and Amazon. A Budget Travel contributing editor and writer and frequent guest of media including NBC’s The Today Show and The Weather Channel with Sam Champion, Darley has been honored with five Emmy Award nominations for hosting, writing and producing Equitrekking, alongside media moguls Ellen DeGeneres, Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert. She received the North American Travel Journalist Award two years in a row for Best Travel Broadcast and the Merit Award for Best Travel Book, and has been honored with the Inspiring Woman Award from Women in Philanthropy and Leadership. In 2014, Darley created an original series for Scripps’ Networks ulive, “Travel Like the Locals with Darley”. Among a few of the more exotic travel adventures, Darley has been charged by an elephant in Africa, traveled with bush healers in Belize, cowboys in the Canadian Rockies and ridden horses into the crater of a volcano on Maui.
